Looks like a tv stood on top of a PSTwo
I don't think you'd want to junk the TV when the PS3 inevitably went wrong unlike a PS2 which is mature enough tech wise to last a while.

Does it upscale the PS2 games? Is it multi region? Can you use your existing PS2 pads??? :|

I'm getting one tomorrow. I'm gonna leave it sealed and then eBay it for £20k in five year's time.
          Kept you waiting, huh?

            No, No, Yes.

It's not custom firmware. Pretty dumb how you have to use the PS2 DVD remote with it instead of using the one supplied with the TV for instance.

Pity that this is in store only. The nearest store to me that has it in stock is Glasgow.
              I'd get one for sure.

You're not allowed to buy it, it's a PAL console.

the ps2 looks rank through an lcd unless the game is 480p (in which case its not bad)

I think the novelty value of this would wear off in 10 mins. As its PAL region, i doubt it will hardly be worth that much in the future

At the very least, the PS2 is going to have a direct digital connection to the screen, which is quite nice.

A quick look at the price point will answer that question. It's a 22" TV at £199, it's clearly aimed to be a relatively budget screen for bedrooms.

Wonder if they can be chipped for multi region goodness?

The PS2 mode is the equivalent of a component connection from what I can gather.

It accepts 1080p via HDMI. Looks to be an excellent little gaming TV connected to a PS3.

Wonder how long it'll take to get hard/softmodded?

                            I'd imagine it's immediately exploitable.

Gonna look into ripping out the PAL mobo and replacing it with a JPN one myself.
