Wii Fit Type Games - PlayStation 3

I know they're never quite what they're advertised as when it comes to the health benefits but I'm looking for a Wii Fit type thing for Christmas but we only have access to a PlayStation 3 at the moment.

I suppose now that MOVE has been released there will be a few available but I've only been able to find EA Sports Active 2 and some Get Fit With Mel B gubbins.

Anybody know of these and are there any others that people know of?

    Thanks.

From what I can tell, the EA Sport Active 2 doesnt use the Move, just the things that it comes with.

I have it coming in the post, not sure when I will try it out, but I did use the EA Sports Active, and while it was fine at times, I found it a little too repetitive. I had enough of Squats and Lunges to do me for a good while after my 30 day programme.

2 is meant to add a greater variety, plus with it on PS3, you can use free weights instead of the Resistance Band, (which was ridiculously weak in the first one; so much so I bought stronger ones) The reason I went for the PS3 version to try is that I wont have to hold a Wii Remote or a Nunchuk this time, and the 360 version uses Kinect, which I dont have and has had some problems with the user interface and doing the exercises from the review I read.

I've just ordered EA sports Active 2 on PS3 as I don't fancy going out jogging when its cold like this at the moment.
Not tried anything like this before (wii Fit etc.) but I'm hoping the gaming side of keeping fit will make me more interested to carry on as I find working out and running boring and hard to keep motivated to continue.

I'm thinking about picking EA Active 2 up today. I got Your Shape the other day, its not bad but its not motivating me at all as I have to move my TV into the bigger living room and all before I can play >_<

At least the PS3 version of Active 2 doesn't use Move so I can just play it anywhere.

Thanks, so everybody seems to think that EA Sports Active 2 is the way to go? Where are people buying this from as it seems really expensive everywhere?

I'm with Amazon Prime so I've ordered it from there at ?65, but noticed its about ?63 on zavvi but you may have to wait a while!

Just bought EA Sports Active 2 in Game as they have it on sale.

I had nearly ?20 on our card so it wasn't so bad and I also got a free set of weights with it so that's a bit of a bonus I suppose.

obviously not really the same kind of thing, but there is a workout mode on DDR too.
i assume it will probably be best to use with move, which i dont have. but i havent had a proper look yet.

edit: had a look. its not what i thought. you just input your weight and it works out how many calories you burnt

I've started a First Play thread for this, I'd be interested to hear what people think about it so far.
