Catching up on 360 games for 2010? Kinect?

I am not sure what the last 360 game I played was but I was wondering what have I missed this year, what were the hidden gems and must buys.

I was also wondering about Kinect is it really worth it and should you really wait till you can afford the hardware and a few games to go with it?

I still even need to play Resi 5, well the new content, so a lot of catching up to do!

Grab some demos from live if you can, check out the 2010 GOTY threads too.
Kinect is apparently on sale at game online £109.99, since 2011 will be the year of kinect (apparently) maybe be an idea to hang fire and see what it brings, I have enjoyed the experience and it works well though, better than I though it would initially.

If you've got kids, Kinect is worth a go. Otherwise I'd probably recommend hanging on a bit to see what comes out next year.

I will wait on kinect then, most people seem to be saying see how it goes and hopefully be at that 99.99 price tag soon.

Thanks for the games was not too sure on Alan Wake, I need to check first play for FFXIII and Burnout Paradise Ultimate too! Red Dead is one I forgot and Mass Effect I thought may be too much of the same, trying to think if I completed it : /

So far the demos I have played have not been too great.

we have kinect. i got it for my kids at xmas. we have sports, adventures, dance central, kinectimals and fitness evolved. i think it's brilliant. had the whole family including 82 year old nanna dancing and bowling. i've found your shape to be a superb tool, and many sessions of sports actually wear you out !
best thing i've seen game wise since, bloody hell, don't know, errr. ever ? it all depends on how people adopt to it and how ms go from here. i showed someone a vid on my phone of yourshape and they have gone out and bought the whole set up. another couple came round with their kids, and the woman was very against the whole thing, but after 5 mins she was a convert, their child's new slim is going to go under the main tv so they can all play properly.
it's better than i ever thought it would be. lag is a bit apparent in adventures, but everything else i tried has been amazing. just my thoughts.

Yeah but I don't want to get fit or dance with my Nan.

Kinect seems okay but unless you have kids or an interest in losing weight it lacks appeal in terms of actual traditional gaming, I would hold off for some more decent games. Mizuguchi's new game Child of Eden looks brilliant but apparently actually plays better with a pad anyway so er :/
