The 3DS introduces a last minute mark up which I don't mind as hardware launches are an exception rather than a regular thing so the above quarterly total doesn't represent my typical spending at the moment. Looking back (and it's no doubt due in no small part to HMV's super high trade in prices) I've done well. Managed not to over spend whilst keeping up with new releases. In the same time period last year I spent ?932 so I've improved massively.

I very rarely trade games in against new games as I usually "donate" them to my little brother & his kids. The vast bulk of this months spend was on Microsoft points with the Game ?5.00 off "Bafta Award" deal which I used in conjunction with Game points that have been unused for ages. Whenever "cheap" MS points are available, I usually stock up to last me a good while. I reckon this batch should see me through for at least 18 months!

I've got a weak spot for old school shooters, and with 4 of them due for release over the next couple of months for the Japanese XB360 ....... can I resist buying them on release???
