Anarchy Reigns (Platinum Games/Sega) 360/PS3

Apparently looks like Madworld in colour and is multiplayer focused, Jack from Madworld features.
Think this will be the last game from Platinum Studios/Sega combo, after that they are free to seek publishers, so who will snap 'em up for next game?!
Never did get to play Madworld, so damn cheap now may as well give it a blast, one day.

Should be interesting, the 4 game publishing deal expired with Vanquish so they're already signing out on a game by game basis including this one. My guess is they've stuck with Sega because they don't seem to be trying to influence Platinum's output and generally, despite the critical response they recieve, they don't create the kind of games most other publishers would see enough potential profit and franchise ability from.

Stay away from the suck-ass PAL version. Worst NTSC>PAL conversion of the decade.

Oh god, now it looks like pretty much every westernised third person action game out there. Grimy visuals and ugly character designs. Absolutely none of the style from Madworld.

I love platinum, I really do, but why why why would they ditch the amazing visual style of madworld for this generic muck?

P.S. I'm sure the game will be great, I just wouldn't mind having something nice to look at while I played it.

Platinum has done well so far with having success with their titles but on first impressions I just don't see who they're expecting to buy this. I'll see how it develops but my spider sense is already tingling...

And they should change the logo, it's a little too close to this other PS3 releases:

After playing DMC3 to death. I had the dream of a DMC Multiplayer online game. I imagined a move set like dante's with a MMO lite type leveling system, where you took on an areas as a team but you had to learn DMC fighting skills as well as levelling up in order to get ahead.

This game looks a little like that...I can only hope...
