I haven't seen anything come out of EA recently that was anywhere near interesting apart from the efforts of Respawn with Apex Legends and Jedi Fallen Order being great.

Given how rubbish their sports offerings have been I don't hold out much hope for this deal bringing anything exciting to the table.

We've seen this story before. Once you get your Dirt game they'll all get put onto a middling NFS before getting disbanded. Codies franchises are largely dead from this point onward.

Many seem to think so, personally it's been an insane amount of years since the franchise put out anything notable despite how hard EA keeps flogging the horse whilst letting so many other IPs die

The last good one (for me) was Need for Speed Hot Pursuit which just received a "remastered" edition recently. It's still a great game but the remaster is pretty lazy... gameplay is still intact but they did the bare minimum to it in the upgrade, though they did add cross-play which has kept the online modes populated.

Yeah, it's 10 years old. So yeah, most of them are pretty middling

It's still a good game and as it's been on sale for around £15-17 I'd say it's worth it.

It runs on Series X @ 1080p60 or 4K30 and honestly the 60fps is where it shines. I wish they'd update it to a higher resolution because it's obviously possible but still ...

The auto HDR also makes it look a tonne better but I don't know how it fares on PS5, probably similar performance to above...
