    Sega Rally Online Arcade

...rating submitted to the Korean game rating board by Sony of Korea: http://www.siliconera.com/2011/01/27...-rating-board/

What exactly is Sega Rally Online Arcade? We aren?t sure. The latest version of Sega Rally in arcades is Sega Rally 3, released in 2008. Meanwhile, the Xbox 360, PSP and PS3 saw the release of Sega Rally Revo in 2007.
Maybe this is one of the games Sumo Digital said they were working on awhile back?

By the sounds of it, it could be a XBLA & PSN version of Sega Rally.

I doubt its the Arcade original, so either Sumo could have taken the Revo engine and are making a downloadbale version or it's something new entirely.

    Looking forward to the announcment!

I love the bitter hatred/love that Sega gets online. (not that I'm accusing you guys of that of course).

If it was as good as OutRun Online Arcade I'd be a very happy chappy.

This is SEGA. No matter what they do it will dissappoint.

Thats not true as After Burner Climax was a great port, better and more faithful than Outrun Online.

If Sega does it in-house and I hope its SR2, we finally get that arcade perfect port.

If they choose to port the Dreamcast WinCE code, then they can burn in hell.

Personally I'd be more than happy with a decent conversion of Sega Rally 1. I know it's a bit light on the content side of things but IMO it's got the most sublime handling / sense of weight / momentum of any racer.

Totally agree with Womble9. SEGA RALLY 1 was insanely good, amazing physics, etc. If this could be reworked into some kind of online version, I'd wet myself.

SR1's Desert stage is still my favourite course in any driving game I've ever played. The entire game could be that one stage and I'd still easily pay 1200 points for it.

If it's SR1, I'd prefer the Saturn one but, whatever it is, I'll probably get it as long as it isn't some kind of SR3/Revo thing(which I doubt, but you never know).

If it's Sega Rally, Sega Rally 2 or Sega Rally 2006 I will be a happy bunny. If it anything to do with the truly Awful Revo I will be sad. Just imagine the First Sega Rally along with Sega racing classic (HD Daytona) if they both come to xbla this year it will be ture racing heaven. So long as sega don't f*** it up.

The announcement says it's "inspired by Sega Rally Revo and Sega Rally 3". Presume it's based on the SRS engine then? I suspect this may disappoint a lot of people but I always liked Revo so am looking forward to this
