Any system that gets outsold by Wonderswan color in japan clearly has to be the best.

And I'll reiterate if I have put hours of extra work into making my console cool with a 320gb hard drive. Why did I get it in the first place? I'm all for microsoft losing money with every console purchase, and the hacks and the rom scene only add to that plight.

Well I love all the consoles I have but for me it's the Xbox.

Jet set radio future
Moto GP 2
Halo
Project Gotham racing
Splinter Cell
Kung fu chaos
Amped
Soul Calibur 2

And I dont want any stupid quotes of the list saying: DC rehash, out now on PC, original was better etc.

Maybe thats why the Xbox has become an underground console. It got the fall out of the DC, is power hungry and we get to use the hard drive for devilishly good purposes.

In my opinion the Xbox will be rembered like the Dreamcast. Powerfull, great selection of games and ignored by the mainstream. In a way I dont care as where other people are throwing facts around like "the PS2's hard drive sold more than the Xbox in Japan!"

Who cares what hapens to Xbox? It's better than the GC and PS2 yet I still find it hard to say that! After years of playgroung taunting "the SNES is better than the mega drive!" ive become a bit more reasonable. I own all three, yet I always adore the underdog. The master system, the mega drive, the n64, the dc, the xbox etc.

yeah, let's start some "old school" console war discussion!

my point: i'd prefer the xbox over the ps2 even if there was only halo to play on it. and i've recently converted a friend and sony fanboy to the xbox by just letting him play halo and ghost recon (system link coop).

in the old days i prefered

VCS 2600 over ... all (well, was there actually anything elese?),
800 XL over C64,
1024 ST over Amiga
and Mega Drive over SNES.

but i can't think of some good reasons why i did. maybe it's simply a matter of heart. and i've always had a big heart for the underrated and the underdogs!

I run Linux on my XBox.

I play Bemani on my PS2.

I play videogames on my Gamecube.

If my house burned to the ground tomorrow and melted all three, I'd replace none of them and get out a bit more.
