Out to coincide with the films release.

Now you might be thinking 'licences Activision game, why the thread?'. However, for this third entry into the abysmal movie game series the development has been handed over to the team behind last years popular War for Cybertron game which has its fans.

I'm playing war for cybertron now and while it is pretty great, I think the biggest let down is that it could have used a that bit more time just to polish up the game/add a bit more single player content. This new game might be ok, but no doubt it will be rushed as all hell and contain all the worst bits of war for cybertron with no real improvements.

I think the worst thing about War For Cybertron was actualy Cybertron itself, the setting was bland, so this could actualy be awesome.

Having it on earth will mean more variety in the gameplay youd think, there is a pretty ecellent section in WFC where you have to turn into a vehicle and race really quickly as everything blows up, having moments like that in the middle of streets, having you tumble through buildings and stuff could be really great if done well.

Course the levels have to be based around what happens in the film, so i guess its all dependant on that really.

I agree about the setting; I'm a longtime Transformers fan, and in-fiction, Cybertron has nearly always been dull as dishwater. It was only ever used well in a couple of early issues in the Marvel comic series, TBH. Alien robots are much more interesting when they set foot on planet Earth.
