My understanding is that the contract for the Houser Brothers expires in 2012. The Houser Brothers have been described as the 'heart and soul' of Take 2, with significant influence, although I really know little about it.

Then again, it's surely the IP that Activision are after. They would probably prefer to drop the existing GTA team and get a faster team on the job anyway.

This would settle Activision's IP drought for now. Then in a few more years, expect most of the former Take 2 studios to close once the IP's have lost their value. A smart member of Take 2 would be wise to jump ship sooner rather than later if they are able to.

It's not up to Take 2. It's up to Take 2's shareholders.

And if they decide they want a payday...

Call of Duty : Yugoslavia - Ethnic Cleansing

Find out why Nico Bellic is the way he is in GTAIV by experiencing the Yugoslavian conflict through the eyes of Nico as a young man!

Greed is the plague of our time sadly. Too many people earning very good money but always wanting that little bit more, just because they can.

This is how I expect most of Activisions ongoing lawsuits going. Against them.
