And I could see this being the best for mindless action! Hopefully it'll be more like the first game(s) than the SS2, though SS2 is probably pretty good actually, I just haven't had chance to play it properly.

The graphics possibly look a bit too detailed for a SS game though, we want loads of enemies and a good frame rate!

        Wooooo!

Should be fantastic! I'm hoping after this is out they redo serious sam 2 like they did the first and second encounter.

I went back to it recently and thought the graphics still hold up pretty well to be honest.

The trouble with the second game was it was exactly like parts 1 and 2 of the first game, it just had better graphics (though i remember reading that the Xbox version had a horrible framerate or somthing like that).

This will probabaly be much the same again, they cant really do anything else with a Serious Sam game than have hundreds of enemies run at you while screaming, and then have you kill them all by shooting them in the face. Ive played through them all and they are all fun diversions but they all just seem to meld into one giant long level that features you killing rabid alien creatures in a giant open space.

The waves of enemies will have to be epic to make that worthwhile. Here's hoping!

Good point, it'll probably turn into a turkey shoot with that many people... We can, but hope... Can't see them using anywhere near 16 times the enemies for that many people though!

Perhaps they'll make the enemies 16 times bigger

honestly, 16 player co-op is just ridiculous. The amount of carnage going on will probably make Left 4 Dead look slow-paced.

It also guarantees that the narrowest part of every level will be as wide as an airport runway. Although I guess this is Serious Sam we're talking about here

yeah, it's pretty much just Geometry Wars with a y-axis. The best they could do really is add more enemy types with interesting movement patterns, and a pile of silly weapons which combine in interesting ways.

I still can't wait to play it though

I want a long corridor level with 1000's of chompy chops running at you and just a minigun for defence.

Haha looks like a blast! Co-op madness. Plus, it features the chompy chops and bulls in revamped visual goodness.
