as for consoles, updates can be good. Sega Ages-style things? I'd rather play the originals if it's just the same game.

A lot of the 70s games that Sega made, very little is know about them but surely Sega have the files somewhere and they can simulate these games. Games like Bomber, Heavyweight Champ and Man TT.

It was a sega title.

Though I don't recommend Sega remaking it because releasing a Survival horror game today is treading on thin water, unless you're capcom or konami. Though Tecmo did well, maybe sega can too.

How the hell can you update Streets of Rage?

Give it better graphics? How do you do that? increase the size of the tiny sprites therefore changing the game which wouldn't go down well.

Update the music? By resampling everything perhaps? Or have Sega make pantsy 'bangin 2003' versions of the tracklist?

Make it quicker and more fluid? (which it bloody needs) - changing the game, can't do that remember.

Add new baddies? more baddies on screen? more moves? more levels? more etc? - Can't do that, see above.

I don't think there's much to update on SoR that would make that many people happy. I'd be pleased with what I already have.

You probably wouldn't need to do much. If they like SoR in the first place, they're obviously pretty easy to please.

It's basically a shooter where instead of shooting interesting things, you shoot patches of fire. And collect crystals.

And store crystals to rescue people. And fight some of the best 3D bosses I've seen. And enjoy a wonderfully cheesey Japanese-Thunderbirds style plot. And have randonly altering levels.

It's not Sonic Team's best, but it's deffinatly worth playing.
