    Full House Poker Review

Gambling regulations probably mean that ?real? rewards like Microsoft Points or XBLA games cannot be given away as prizes like they were in 1 vs. 100, and for some this will be a deal-breaker, since not everyone sees the logic in simulated gambling. However for social and competitive play, this is still a strong title that we predict will always have plenty of people playing for a long time.

    Good review.

As a poker fan I'll undoubtedly pick this up (downloading the trial now) but I do wonder whether this will ever rival Texas Hold 'Em which is still played over Live every night by vast numbers of players. Ultimately I fear not many gamers will pay 800 points for a game that by and large they already own.

Texas hold em has some of the best music. I'm willing to give this a go though. Demo ahoy.

I've never seen the point of playing texas hold'em without any money involved. In my experience, if you take away both the fear of losing and reward for winning, everyone just plays like a maniac and hence it gives novices a very scewed impression of what the real thing is like. Having said that if you just want to play like a lunatic with no consequences it can be fun for a bit.

Yeah, you can never simulate the emotional rollercoaster that playing poker for money creates, but get a good group of people together who play as if they were playing with money (in other words very little going all-in on a hope and prayer) and you can still have fun and a pretty good stab at gauging players' hands by when they bet.
