    Spider-Man Edge of Time 360/PS3

New Spider-Man game from the people that gave us Shattered Dimension, Beenox.
    Teaser trailer here.

In the trailer you can see a small glimpse of the "cause-and-effect" gameplay, where one action in one spiderverse impatcs the other in the other verse, in realtime.
Also the story will be written by Marvel comics veteran Peter David, it features 2099 spider-man and present day spider-man.

More Dan Gilvezan as Spiderman 2099 is certainly welcomed - he had me proper lol'ing with the sass mouth during Shattered Dimensions. I think I enjoyed the 2099 sections the most as a result and was glad to hear it was returning here...

However that does look virtually identical to Shattered Dimensions but with less worlds to break up the gameplay! I'm not convinced this is going to be worth full price to be honest. It feels like a half arsed expansion pack and it won't even have multiplayer to make the most of the time stream changes feature.

What the hell is wrong with them that they don't do the Marvel Zombies game that was talked about two-three years ago? That could be made of pure win.

Even better, they should do a game based on Marvel Zombies vs Army of Darkness.

Despite the fact that theres never been a good Evil Dead related game to my knowledge, Id probabaly still buy it.

Shattered Dimensions is really good but its alot more linear than most Spiderman games.

If you want a more typical Spiderman game with an open city to explore then Web Of Shadows is probabaly your best bet.

I beg to differ Spiderman on the Megadrive was the bestest spidey game ever.

That said I never played any of the movie tie ins so I could be wrong.

best way i can describe spiderman 2 was its a bit like the incredible hulk ultimate destruction game....though obviously not as destructive

the feeling of web swinging between buildings was awesome

I agree that Web of Shadows was the best attempt at an open world Spidey game this gen - followed by Shattered Dimensions for a more in your face combat-centric experience.

Spiderman 2 was too repetative, 70% of the game was spent repeatedly doing the same mission where you saved people who were being robbed by thugs.

Web of Shadows is a much better game than Spiderman 2, it didnt quite have the same great swinging mechanics but it did everything else so much better. Web Of Shadows actualy has really enjoyable combat for instance, none of the previous open world Spiderman games had that, it also had alot more variety to its missions than other games had and was alot better at holding your intrest as a result. The story was pretty decent too actualy, Its an all round good game.
