Astonishingly good letters page this month, I thought. Well, one of them anyway. I wish I hadn't asked you to be nice to the letters page contributors now, it's even more hideous than when you were being nasty. Please go back to being nasty.

I notice your readers have dropped to 18k, down from 21k. What level is squeaky bum time?

Thanks for the handicapable feature. hope it helps make a difference. All I ask for is fully configureable controls in all games.

That's a crying shame. Got my issue yesterday, and while I contribute and so am biased, it really is the best multiformat games out there. It trumps EGM, GamePro, GamesMaster, GameFAN and don't even get me started on what a wretched magazine EDGE is. Are the cognoscenti of the gaming world simply not buying magazines? Or are they buying tripe like EDGE?

Game Developer Mag is quite good, mind you, but that's only in the states, a pain to import and is more industry focused.

I buy this occasionally but I don't like the style of writing or layout that much, I used to love mags like mean machines and computer and video games, this is stuck someware between edge and those. It needs to be one or the other, they should either inject a bit of humour in the writing or employ someone to tidy up the scrappy look of the magazine.

See, I find the layout clear and intuitive. The design/layout of Edge is stuffy and suffocating, and seems to mistake blandness for 'mature contemporary'.

Aptly put - EDGE is very bland. GTM is still a bit dry for my tastes, but then they go and do something utterly gorgeous like the Fez layout in this issue, and all is forgiven.
