Despite some rigid level design on show, this is easily THE reason to be tempted by Vita

Very impressive, I'd be dubious after seeing who is making it though. Their games output in the last 10 years leaves a lot to be desired.

I think the general consensus was that the PS1 ones were pretty cool , I remember the taser fondly
They came at a time when 1st/3rd Person shooters on consoles were limited to Turok/Goldeneye on the N64, so Syphon Filter was received with open arms.

I seem to recall that all the 2 or 3 that came out for Ps2 were pretty average.

Looking back at their scores the more recent PSP titles they have done have been pretty good, so hopefully this'll come out as good. I guess you'd be naive to think that it's going to be lavished the same love and attention [Cash] the PS3 games though.

Sony Bend's PSP titles were excellent - fully featured, highly polished, great-looking and, considering the limitations of the device itself, they played very well.

Ticks all the boxes I'd need from a handheld Uncharted if they can match their PSP form.

yeah, I saw that the PSP titles have been very good and amended my view of them

I can fully understand your reservations to be fair - given a choice of developer, I'd have probably wished for Ready At Dawn above all others, as they've really proven themselves in the past to be able to handle other studios' IP (including Naughty Dog's own Daxter) on PSP with delicate hands.

But as long as Sony Bend are able to maintain their post-PS2 form then it's all good

Hopefully they'll refrain from funking up the controls and over-doing the Jack Black-O-vision.

I'll wait for the reviews/feedback but I wasnt interested in the Vita until I saw these screens. Tbh its well timed as I've now clocked U3 (as lots of other people have) and ripe for a new mini adventure.

This could be a great system seller for Sony/Vita but I hope we're not left with this, RR and wipeout, Everybodys golf etc until the next big title.

The trailer's pretty tasty too. And you get to hear the Japanese equivalent of Nolan North.
