Wii Store Transaction Failure

Hi guys, maybe someone can help me out on this. I've been trying to buy some VC games off the Wii store for the past two days but keep getting the same error over and over and I'm not sure why.



Of course there was no such transaction error when it was taking money from my bank a minute before this started But I'm getting a bit worried I won't be able to download any more games from the store on top of wasting ?7 or whatever it is now. Anyone else encountered this? And better yet have a fix? Google isn't helping me here.

Having a look online, some people said they were able to fix it by changing the country setting of their Wii. What country is yours currently set to?

My country is Brazil. And yes, after changing the configuration to United States I could buy the games again!

This is very wierd and I don't believe this is the right way to solve the problem.
I really hope this is a temporary issue.

Mayhem you absolute star! My country was also set to Brazil and changing it to America solved the issue.

I'm not sure why this suddenly started happening but at least I can spend my Wii points again

I generally only ever set my country to Brazil to add points via my credit card (using the well documented trick) as I have a US Wii also. I then put it back to US afterwards.

I've always left it as Brazil personally but if that's what it takes then so be it.

Wii Shop Channel is working again for me. I don't need to keep changin' my region to perform downloads anymore.
