lots of stuff there, not enough new stuff - but the price of the Vita (which doesnt sound too bad now...) was fantastic, much cheaper then analysts were expecting and myself included.

Fair to say that was a A grade conference for me and much better the the others today. Still im expecting big things from Nintendo tomorrow....

Or Sony haemorrhaging money again? It is a very extraordinary price...

              Not its not.

Psychological factors are playing their part here. You guys think 250,- is cheap because Nintendo set a ridiculous price for their 3DS.

But in reality, I feel that its still a large sum of money for a mere gaming handheld. No matter what the specs are. Its more expensive than a Kinect 360 pack, Wii and about as expensive as a Ps3.

Sony isn't in the position to lose any more money on their hardware. I think they are making a profit here, maybe 50 bucks or so.

You're right - psychological factors are playing their part. It only sounds like a large sum of money for that because you added the word 'mere' where it is wholly inappropriate.

It is an interesting price, but I don't think it's that much of a punch in Sony's pocket because it's just an upgraded PSP - more powerful and tweaked for sure, but there's not essentially any new and ground breaking tech in there. It's a collection of existing things to improve the experience (and how by the looks of the visuals)

When you consider you can get and AMOLED, touch screen phone for less than ?100 the price for the Vita seems to fit.

They should've gone all out to get Activisision to show off a CoD game. That would've got them so much hype.

But it IS just a mere gaming handheld. We're not talking 3G model, Retina screen, smartphone capabilities here.

And even those phones are way overpriced because the goal is making loads of profit right off the bat, phones will be succeeded within 6 months and be discarded by the user within a year or so.

The 3G Vita is the most expensive gaming handheld ever, I think.

?250 in my eyes is a bargain to play new versions of Uncharted, WipEout & Everybody's Golf on the bus / bog / bath.

I am Day 1 for shizzle!!

Wikipedia has the portable PC Engine launching at $299.99.

My stupid work computer doesn't have Flash. Anyone know a site where I can watch any of these trailers without it?
Don't look at me, I'm irrelevant.
