Anyone in Europe with a 3DS from North America or Japan?

Need to know how the eShop work. Do you _have_ to go the pre-paid card route or can you just use your VISA? Are you automatically "directed" to your local eShop or do you have access to the North American/Japanese eShop?

Really need to know!

I have a Japanese 3DS & when i connect online it always goes to the Japanese servers regardless of my physical location in the world. I just updated my 3DS to add the eshop & bought yen using my uk credit card as now it doesnt use points anymore it's just hard cash.

Adding money is dead easy, just click on the button to buy money then select the visa option. Then you just need to put in your CC number then the expiry date (month then year) then the CCV number off the back & then click ok & japanese yen will be added to your 3DS
