7000 Club Nintendo UK pts - which reward should I buy?

Finally have amassed enough pts for something half decent from Club Nintendo - problem is I can't decide what to go for.

I'm torn between the Super Nes styled Classic Controller or the Super Mario characters statuette. The problem I have with the latter though, is that based on it's dimensions of 11.5cm x 10cm it doesn't strike me as being particularly large and thus unworthy of the points investment. Can anyone who owns it confirm its quality/value?

It is a small little thing going off the dimensions though I love the look of it, I imagine it's just standard plastic too. Cash value wise they're worth similar amounts though the statue seems to comfortably be the rarer of the two. Probably too many people having spent their points on the earlier released controller, lol

I guess that the lacking analogue sticks would make it fairly redundant as an actual used peripheral as well, rather than something that sits in it's box for the rest of time.

Had the same dilemma a few weeks back , I went for the Super Mario Characters Figurine though its not arrived yet.

I'd want the controller. I would have had enough points by now except I spent them all on Sin and Punishment and Cave Story.

I do like that aspect of Ninty's online service.

I went through loads of games yesterday and have 5250 in my account - saving for the SNES controller myself, but mainly because I've wanted one since the Super Famicom ones started appearing on ebay.

One thing I'm annoyed about is that some games (eg Mario Party) have expiration dates on the points, and others are apparently "No Longer Valid". Fair enough for GC games but for older DS games it still seems like a cop out. Other annoying thing is that points seem to expire in your account too - apparently I've amassed 12,000 or so since joining yet I only ever spent a couple of thousand on Wii points years ago which means I have lost about 5000 points

I have to admit, my Wii Snes controller has sat in the cupboard all this time, it's only really useable with Virtual Console titles though it's still nice knowing that I can play the likes of DKC in their original form as I've never liked the classic controller. I've also got statue collecting on the brain at the moment hence my leaning

I was saving up for the Mario hat, but as soon as I had enough points it was taken out of the catalogue. Damn.

dunno if this is common knowledge but it netted me some extra stars...

if you look thru your account activity, it seems there is a survey link next to any virtual console game you have downloaded....I went all the way back to 2007 games and it was with all those too. gets you 50 stars per game...not as annoyingly long as the usual ones either.
