360 Data Transfer

Random question but if I was to buy the 360 Transfer/Migration kit and move my games and gamertag over to another hard drive what actually happens?
Does it copy the data and deletes from the original as it goes?

Me and my brother share a gamertag and I have a few XBLA games on a 20GB and I was wanting to move my games and tag over to a 60GB and leave him with his CoD save games on the 20GB...is that at all possible?

If you bought the games, you can just redownload them again on another console. The transfer kit is all or nothing, you can't pick and choose what's moved

Oh and I can recover the gamertag too can't I. Totally forgot about that.

You could move everything over and then use a USB stick o move the remsinin bits back again

This works really well, I just picked up a 16G memory stick for about ?14. Got my profile on it some saves from the games I play regularly and some DLC and Arcade games. Just plug it in and away I go, as long as the console is online :P

I'm sure you can now. When I transfered from my Elite to my S i'm certain it gave you the option to choose what you wanted copied over.

Yeah it asks you what you want to transfer across but it still wipes the old HDD I think
