Lollipop Chainsaw (360/PS3) from Grasshopper Manufacture

    Only famitsu scans so far.

In addition to her chainsaw, Juliet is also apparently adept at cheerleading. She will perform acrobatic actions as she hacks away and fills the screen with showers of pink blood.
We know where the chainsaw of the title comes from. We also may know where the "lolli" comes. As for the "pop" part, in an interview with Famitsu, Grasshopper's Suda 51 apparently says that the game will deliver a previously unseen "pop" style of zombie game. We'll hopefully find out what that means once we get a first look at Lollipop Chainsaw later this week.

From the pics I've seen, they'd be stretching the 'loli' side of things.

The game pretty much sounds like Bayonetta with zombies.

For some reason, I'm already hyped for this game.
I'm on my second run with No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise and I'm enjoying Shadow of the Damned so far (regardless the massive bomba). I know they all are different people's work but this kind of games has a common feel that I seem to dig every time.

I had a look at the scan: 'San Romero' hischool, a main heroine who reminds me of a Rumble Roses XX level of trash and a... Chopped head following the cheerleader pulling out stupid faces? XD

        Really hope it won't suck.

They are both Grasshopper Manufacture games directed by Suda 51.

I don't know how to feel about this new game. Suda's games are always no doubt interesting and original, but zombies? There have been tons of zombie games recently, I don't know if you can do anything more interesting with zombies to be honest. In fact, chainsawing zombies actually sounds almost boring to me, when compared to Suda's other games and their premises.

I thought Shadow of the Damned was directed by that italian dude (Guarini) who just left Grasshopper, and Suda 51 only supervised.

About the new game, I can get your point and agree but... If I think of the potential of an Onechanbara kind of slasher which is actually fun and nice to play, well, I want that game now.

                          Juliet Starling... a Hannibal reference?

Hmm...did a rolleyes when I saw those pics. More cheap titilation and schlock from Grasshopper? Shouldn't judge gameplay on first appearances, though. Just hope they remember to sprinkle in some of the weird/innovative gameplay ideas that they found for Killer 7 and Contact, but those games seem a long time ago now...
