Maybe play it safe and stick with "sheep of duty" no room for games with humour and adult themes.

          Maybe?

I will admit that I had no problem with games until very recently, I was of the mindset 'idiots will be idiots no matter what you give them.'
I have a daughter who is 18, and never did I think she was influenced by things, although looking back of course she was, but I also have a son who is nearly 4, and that has changed everything!!

Boys tend to copy everything they see, whether they realise it or not the things they see, watch, play, listen to all makes them what they are.
My lad tends to watch loads of music shows, because my daughter is into the theater and dance so he gets roped into watching here stuff, and because of that he copies stuff from those films.
However, after spending the day at his friends house, who has an older brother, aged only 7, he came back and had gone from singing and dancing about into wanting to 'Kill everything!!!' as he had been watching slightly older cartoons with his friends older brother.
His friends mum always wonders why her children want to 'bash everything!!!!!' (her words).
Well I guess we all replicate our peers, and if those peers happen to be in a cartoon, film, game, book etc. it makes no difference.

I know what I am like, I watch Goodfellas and I want to be a mobster, watch Bourne and I wish I had joined CI5 or something, difference is as we get older we (hopefully) know we can't do that and so by the morning we fall back into reality, children however have different minds and it stays with them far longer.

I love games like Resi myself, but Lollipop Chainsaw seems to completely play down and glamourise complete and utter unecessary violence, and I know that this will not just be played by over 18's who are sensible.

If I had seen this post from someone else 4 years ago I would also think 'What a cnut!!' but when you have children, and see how other children behave at such a young age because of the things they are allowed to do and see, you may just change your opinion too.

But, it does look like a good game in a cheesy sort of way, I just think that personally it isn't needed.

Maybe you should let your sun play it, if he starts dressing up like a Sexy Cheerleader and slicing up Zombies with a chainsaw, then you should be worried.

No they're not* but when it gets into the hands of people who are happy for their 5 year old to play it that is where the problems start.

*Actually we all are, that is human nature at its most basic.

Look back at your original post mate and then realise how hippocratical that last comment is. Just because you basically tried to justify your dim-witted comment by trying to pass yourself as some kind of been there, done that know-it-all doesn't really excuse yourself. Just because you have a 4 year old son or your Puritan lifestyle doesn't tollerate short skirts doesn't really give you the rite to call everyone interested in a game a sad 'Cnut'. I think the reason a lot of people here want to play this game is because it'll more than likely be quite interesting and different.

To the dude with the four year old.

I've got a son too, but you're talking bollocks.

That's exactly, dead on why I want to play it.

EDIT: What boxhead said that is.

Famitsu gave it 36/40, that means it will be **** for sure!

The 'sad ****' comment was purely based on the design of the game, it just reeks of some fat kid with no girlfriend pulling himself off to a video game character and high fiving himself every time slices a zombie in half.

That is different to how I feel about the way it is glamourising bloodshed and who it is really marketed at.

My lifestyle is far from puritan I can assure you, and it is because of some of the lowlife scum that I do come into contact because of that is the reason why my views are changing somewhat.

I knew I would get complete flack for posting the above, but posted anyway.

The point about my 4 year old son was nothing more than he has made me realise just how impressionable people really are.

I thought exactly the same as you lot until very recently, I used to laugh at comments like I made myself, so I knew what I was going to get. Ho hum.
