Have to agree with more than a few scores this month, simply looking at what we've been reviewing recently - Rebel Strike ain't all that, to be honest while SSX 3 and Gregory Horror are great.
Odd they didn't review BG&E or Prince Of Persia though; while XIII's a tad disappointing, both of those games really are lovely.

Still that and Gregory Horror Show will be next months games for me I think.
I'm not sure which version of XIII to go for though. PC or XBox I guess. But which of the two.... hmmm....

There is very little negativity on this forum compared to most, and that is what he was complaining at.

and 5 for Rebel Strike?? Surely it wasn't that bad, i mean Cube Europe (bless their little souls) gave Rebel Strike more than Mario Kart (well, 0.1 point more).......
and maybe i'll pick up Final Fantasy Tactics Advance....7 ain't bad, is it?

I absolutely dispised Rogue Squadron, and returned it after 24hrs of buying it. It was little more than an interactive movie, like many Star Wars "games" before it. Such a frustrating game too.
An EA franchise in its third iteration getting such a good score is certainly a shock though.

Actually, judging by some of the comments month in and month out, quite a few people aren't aware of it, so here's their review policy:
Edge's review policy
Every month, Edge evaluates the best, most interesting, hyped, innovative or promising games on a scale of ten. Edge's rating system is fair, progressive and balanced. An average game deserves an average mark - not, as many believe, seven out of ten. Scores broadly correspond to the following sentiments: zero: nothing, one: disastrous, two: appalling, three: severely flawed, four: disappointing, five: average, six: competent, seven: distinguished, eight: excellent, nine: astounding, ten: revolutionary.

According to Edge's review policy, a six equates to "competent" - how is that harsh? And have you read the review text yet?

Perhaps they had higher expectations for the game? Perhaps the person who wrote the testscreen intro wasn't the person who wrote the review the previoues month? Who knows...
