2200mAh is the highest. I use an official one of those.

Yes, I use one. Came with a special battery cover (which I've since lost) as the 2200 one is the same size as a PSP-1000 battery and you cannot use your existing cover.

Thanks, do they still sell these and are official ones available? Also, with the larger battery cover, does that mean the PSP won't fit into cases anymore?

Genuine ones are gold dust, lots of fakes around.

The 2200mAh battery and cover is a Japan-only item. You can get it in different colours to match your PSP. Expect to pay around ?50.

That's all correct, got mine in Japan - intend on getting another one this year as it happens.

As for the case I suppose it depends on how snug a fit yours is I shouldn't think it would make much difference.

I remember someone telling me the Sony store near me stocked them years ago- he was full of crap usually but he sounded very convincing that one time.
