Japanese and US PSone emulators heading to European PS Store

Don't hold your breath on this (If there is anything still worth playing that you missed). To quote...

"The upshot of this is that publishers which possess the rights to release PSone titles that were previously only available in the US and/or Japan will now be able to apply for a European release on the store pending appropriate rating board assessment."

    Horse. Bolted. Stable. Door.
If anyone had the slightest bit of technological nous, they could've created a foreign PSN account > get the correct region points and purchased whichever titles they wanted a long time ago. I don't see it being any different from the USA PSN 'imports' catalogue, which is woefully updated and plus you could've got those titles on the JPN PSN ages ago.

If I'm not mistaken the sales figures aren't that great for PS1 games on the store anyway so few will bother applying for a rating

Indeed. Ratings have to be paid for so it's a non-starter. When you think of how many classic PS1 games there are, and how few of them are up on PSN (any region) you realise just what a massive wasted opportunity the whole thing is. It should have been the icing on the PSN cake, but instead it's just a meagre curiosity
