Once in a generation type game. Ooooh nice.
They released three animated shorts giving some history to the game world, they are pretty good too.

Having read the EG review, they mention you can't respec your character (or new game+) with new skills once you've done and dusted with the campaign.
But of a shame that, as that's one of the main reasons why I didn't go another round with Deus Ex: HR, as I'd like the option to experiment, once everything is done.

I've seen this described as being like Deus Ex and Thief, which I like.
Others have said it's like Bioshock, which I dislike immensely due the simplicity of the mechanics and total lack of inventory.
Watching vids there seems to be lots of powers you have. What about an inventory? How complex does the customisation get?
It's getting positive reviews, but then so did Bioshock. And I'd scarcely rate that above a 3.
Truth be told, I'd not heard of it until today, when noticing someone mention it on my Twitter feed.Last edited by Sketcz; 08-10-2012, 14:52.

One thing I really don't like when talking about stealth games is that you can "run and gun/stab" through the levels if you want to. To me, that really defeats the whole purpose of "stealth". In games like MGS, Splinter Cell and Thief, you HAVE to use stealth, otherwise you'll be dead, you can kill a few guards, but if you're caught, it's most likely Game Over. Here, you can use stealth, but at the same time you're a super killing machine who can slaughter dozens of guards if you want to. They say that using violence causes the later levels to be harder, but I'm sceptical about how that's handled, is it just a few more easily killable guards in the levels or what.
Looking forward to reading some first play comments about this, commercial "reviews" are really not worth much I've noticed.Last edited by Guts; 08-10-2012, 15:29.

This game wasn't even on my radar till I started reading the reviews ... Sleeper hit of the generation written all over it by the sounds of it. And I need to put my new PC through its paces so why not.
