I find Assassins Creed an oddity too. It's strange to see an annual series (especially one of the nature AC is) that has such a huge rate of improvement from title to title.

Yup, saw the figures for the map packs, it's immense at just how unflinching COD's sales figures have been in their rise. I always figured COD was a very 'this gen' series but it's looking more and more likely it will survive the next gen transition too. Sales wise there's certainly no competition this year

Never underestimate the power of brand to sell things. As long as you don't totally oversaturate and damage it (cf Guitar Hero) then you can go on for a very long time.

How many Need For Speed games have there been now? It's well into double figures.

I had a quick look on google and it turns out that The Run is Need For Speed 18!

And still no true sequel to the original, lol
