playing ps1 games on psp and ps3

I currently only have a psp and am enjoying all the ps1 classics on it.

I'm wondering if I got a ps3, will i be able to continue play there on the big screen? i cant seem to work out how it works. Will i plug the psp into the ps3 to sync my save state and be able to use the ps3 controller instead of my psp?

Am also interesed in the practicality of this. Is it a hassle to sought for a quick play everytime?

I'm not sure on how the file saves work between the two formats but you can copy the game from the PSP directly onto the PS3 and play it from that. The PS3 features full PS1 backwards compatibility so you can play it with the DS3 controller no hassles.

You can easily copy your save file from the PSP to a virtual PS1 memory card on the PS3.

I think im just going to get a ps3 control pad and a tv out cable for the pspgo as there isnt any game on the ps3 which i want to play.

Only problem now is finding a ps3 to sync the ps3 control pad and my pspgo...
