    MSX 2 / 2+ / Turbo R

I visited a collector in Finland who had a huge, no let's say that again *HUGE* MSX collection and I was instantly impressed if one because of the huge ammount of Japanese games (ranging from Konami to Compile to Sony to Microcabin to Hudsonsoft and even Sega). There were so many games I was impressed with Konami made some excellent shooters that didn't appear on other systems. Compile made Puyo Puyo 2 which gives the Megadrive version a run for it's money and I even got to see SD Snatcher running (awww cute....).

The MSX 1 standard was fairly rubbish, the Colecovision uses the same hardware. Although later in the life of the machine Konami added Soundchips to their carts to give FM music and then the MSX 2 added much better graphics, the 2+ improved this with a slightly better Graphics chip and FM sound and the Turbo R added a 16bit processer.

I'm tempted to go out and buy an MSX Turbo R after playing some of these games and I did buy some games as I couldn't leave without something...

Intriguing. How many games were released on the Turbo R? Was it supported mainly by Konami, as with the MSX 1?
