Good to see KOF got a decent score. Been playing it for a while in the arcades and it is obviously a big step up from the last game.

Can't really argue too much with any of those scores, I'm enjoying the Year in Review articles now they're comfortably within my lifespan

I care, I ALWAYS care Prinny, especially for the features you list. Other topic starters, they just give the reviews and scores, but you go that extra mile. You make magazine topics the way Ned Flanders makes hot chocolate!

My appreciation for the features being written out is partially because I write some of them some of the time. My sub hasn't arrived yet though. If anyone can privately PM me a small photograph of the Metroidvania article, you will forever have my gratitude. I'm just curious to see the design before it lands through my door.

KoF outscoring the 'new and improved' Marvel vs Capcom is quite a bold statement.

Also I can't help but think if Rayman Origins was called Nintendo Origins it would score higher.

Not really. UMvC3 probably does deserve a markdown for being something they could've done as DLC, especially as we're not even a year past the launch of the first version.

Also, Games TM scored the original lower than most other sites anyway, they're not really fans of it.

Both Uncharted 3 and Batman are overrated with a 9, while good games they are both somewhat disapointing sequels. But then every publication seems contractually obliged to overrate them so I guess we have to let them off.

Rayman Origins only scoring 7 is tragic though. It already wont sell as much as it deserves without them helping it along as it disapears into obscurity.

I also think MW3 deserves a 9 too. I was suprised by how much I enjoyed the campign.

All reviews are opinions tho of course, to you over rated to others not...Arkham City for me was so far better than Asylum if review scores were scientific formulas it would have got 13 out of 10 if the original got a 9. Cant speak for UC tho as i didnt like the first and never played the sequels.

Yeah reviews are opinions, but then so is every post i write on here so I have just as much value (IMO that is ).

My opinion is that Arkham city was a poorly structured mess that tried to give you too much to do to the point that i cant even concentrate on any aspect of the game properly. It just didnt feel anywhere near as coherant or as well put together as the first game.

Uncharted 3 was ruined by poor shooting mechanics and level design, somthing the second game got right and thats why it was disapointing. Also its a shame if you never played the second game, its somthing that needs to be experienced, its an astouning peice of entertaininment, not just as a game, its simply one of the most cinematic experiences ever made and puts most hollywood blockbusters to shame in regards to spectacle. I actually feel sorry for people who have yet to play it. Its just that special.

I'll have to disagree with that. Uncharted holds your hand through a world in which everything is sign posted. No fear of getting lost, no sense of discovery or exploration - you're told where to walk and where to climb - and every now and then you get to partake in some mediocre combat. It was beautiful to look at and there is lots that's praise worthy, but I prefer video games that don't try and be movies.

                          Halo Anniversary an 8?

Hmmmm, I actually think they've done a pish Job of it.

                          Framerate is ropey
Level Aesthetics stray massively from the original
Net code for co-op makes it virtually unplayable

if this had of been released as a brand new game for 2011 it wouldn't of scored an 8.

That 8 is riding on the back of the classic buried underneath
