Whore of the Orient - A new game by Brendan McNamara

The next game from Brendan McNamara, the controversial writer and director of L.A. Noire, is called Whore of the Orient.

No it's not a porno, it's the latest video game from the genius mind of Brendan McNamara, the man behind L.A. Noire.

Stay classy Mr. McNamara, you employee-whipping nutter you.

Can't wait to see how the anti-video game crowds take this...

Makes you wonder how he got to run another studio after LA Noire didn't make back the money it needed to. That on top of the claims that Team Bondi was a hellhole to work at

He really doesn't deserve a second chance. It's beyond belief how somebody can get away with landing another high-profile job on a big budget game with his history of poor management and delays. He deserves to spend the rest of his days humbly eking out a living from mobile games for grannies.

"Good day to you shopkeep, I trust you are well on this sunny morning. I'd like a copy of er.... um....... er.... Whore of the Orient please...."

What next? Sluts of the Persian Empire? Strumpets of the Caribbean? Loose Women of London Television Studio?

And this is one of the reasons why the economy isn't doing as well as it should be. Once you reach a high enough position it doesn't matter how bad a job you do or how many companies you ruin, since as soon as one endeavour fails you'll be back screwing somewhere else up almost straight away. It seems to be the same in just about every business; climb far enough up the ladder and your track record seems to become meaningless to investors and employers.

Well with any luck the game bombs, the studio sees he's a complete tw@t, or it gets stuck in development hell and we dont hear from him and the studio for a few years.

I'd be amazed if it makes it to retail with the title intact

Obviously not, and I've refrained from making comments about his character. It's just difficult to believe that somebody who failed to deliver a project of similar scope on time, soured relations with his publisher and managed to ruthlessly abuse his staff (and withhold credit from some) is welcomed with open arms to do exactly the same sort of thing elsewhere.

Do you always need to know every person in the world personally to make an opinion of them? Apparently Mr. McNamara is a bit of a douche, that's from numerous people who worked for him.

What was it because of that Rockstar gave up on Team Bondi?

Most likely something to do, in part at least with this fine chap.

Sounds like a case for Poirot.

                              Brendan McNamara's

                              Whore of the Industry

He comes across as a pompous smug prick in any interview i've read about him. LA Noire was average anyway!
