    Densha De Go - just in case you needed to know.....

    .....about the food. You see, in all the versions (bar the first), you get to see and earn food boxes.

    What are these little food boxes?

    They're known as EKI-BEN. I didn't have any idea of their relevence but their effectively what we know as 'BR sandwiches'.

    Only they're not. Their boxes of food and rice neatly packed for people to eat on long train journeys. Their different in each region of Japan, rather then the typical commerical 'sandwhich' sold in the UK.
    The food comes in very attractive boxes.

    Densha's gallerys enables you to see the kind of food sold on a paticular line.
    How many games do that?

    I would just like to add i've been playing DDGPro 3 for about 6 months on and off and still not even half-way through the game. I've completed most of the 20 minute journeys, but have about 30-40 1 hour+ (thats Real Time) journeys to finish.

    Coud you guess i was working nights?

        eki=station
        ben is short for bento = lunchbox thing.

        I have been really tempted to pick up a Densha game but do not know which is the best to get. I could get them pretty cheap but which one? I imagine they'd be quite relaxing sometimes. And intense at others.

          Yeah, I've been playing Densha De Go 3 (commuter train version). The jaunts between stations are just too short for eating on my JNR lines! So I don't get such cool features as to what's going on inside the train.

          DDG 3! CTV is intense. You're always on guard and there's no rest for the wicked. A lot of safety issues are present within the city limits.

          Though I do love the game.....I also wonder what longer train rides are like (Shinkansen / "Bullet train").

          Densha De Go games kicks donkey.
