    Alan Wake's American Nightmare (XBLA Q1 2012)

No this isn't Alan Wake's new skateboarding game.
The full trailer has been shown at VGA's 2011, it's now looking like a proper story continuation of Alan Wake leading into a possible Alan Wake 2.
Looks like Alan is looking to find

Mr Scratch, the dark version of Alan who is taking over people, you see him taunting Alan on a TV in full FMV form saying he's not afraid to be the center of attention

It will be great to step back into Alan Wake's shoes.

    Check out the trailer

Alan wake made very little sense as it was, so they decide to release a game based around a bad guy seen In one cut scene?

Surley I'm not the only one who thinks that sounds a bit rubbish?

Hopefuly they will get the combat right this time, or even better just completely replace it with something fun.

Well looks like the guns were a bit more meatier, sure he had an SMG in one of the scenes.
Remedy (on official forum) have already said they have a few more things on the go alongside this but cannot comment.
Possible Alan Wake 2 E3 reveal, taking 7 years to release?
      Well I remember

Mr Scratch was sent back to the real world in Alan's place, always rember the underwater dude saying "Your friends will meet him when you're gone." always thought that was creepy. Maybe at end of last DLC when Alan says He will write his return, somehow Mr Scratch has appeared and went home with the recovered Alice.

They never really did explain him SO I suppose this is the chance..
Man I feel like playing Alan Wake again
      yum yum

I have my reservations about this. The DLC burnt me out on Alan Wake a bit because it was felt aimless, tacked on and was more of the same that

        literally

        didn't go anywhere.

Its nice to see some new ideas in there, but I do wonder if it's enough to sustain another game out of it so soon? I hope so because the first was an enjoyable romp, but I'm very cautious right now.
