I had a big Sony Trinitron which looked new when i took it to the tip, had to get rid of it for my panny plasma 3d due to the size. I wish I had the room for it as I would have kept it as it was awesome for old gaming. I bought the portable CRT I mentioned earlier to replace it. CRTs are damn hard to get hold of now in good condition, there are loads on Ebay but all pickup only and usually not very well looked after.

Had a Sony Trinitron 21" CRT since 2001, used it for everything, but it failed a few months ago. Replaced it with... another Sony Trinitron CRT, albeit widescreen this time and with freeview built in. Can't be arsed getting a flatscreen yet, don't have anything that would take advantage of it.Last edited by Hohum; 12-12-2011, 17:11.

I have a Loewe Aconda 32" (55kg) with a DC, PS2, SNES, Duo-R and a Megadrive with Mega-CD2 hooked up to it. Also a random Hansol 19" monitor for Tate DC stuff and a Philips CM8833 mk II for the Amiga. Probably should get a scart cable for the miggy.
I have to admit I have been thinking about buying another CRT though as you seen so many at the coup these days you wonder if there will be any left to buy in the future.Last edited by CMcK; 12-12-2011, 17:37.

I've got a 21 inch Samsung Flatscreen Crt................& my LG LCD TV is sitting on top of it!!
Its kinda special to me too cos the picture on it is fab. I use it ocassionally for the PS2/GC/DC or a little less ocassionally for the MD/SNES. Tube shows a slight yellowy hue on the top right from time to time, but I wouldnt part with it.
I still love CRTs. I wish they still made them altho I know they're heavy & use a lot of power but their picture quality is just fantastic

Only LCDs, both 24" Dell monitors. Different models and panels (PVA and IPS) and everything retro goes through a XRGB-3 or an Edge+HD Fury+SLG/3000.
Not as good (response-time wise) or intuitive (I love my XRGB-3 but, syncing some consoles is a nightmare) as a single CRT, but I don't have the space to have two large two monitors for my PC and even a 14" CRT for retro use.

I have CRTs, intend to always have at least one and, up until about four months ago, would have been eligible for picking the 'I ONLY have a CRT!' poll option.
Mine are a 32'' 16:9 Loewe Vitros (for last gen and, soon, Wii) and a 15'' 4:3 Panasonic (for retro). My mother is borrowing my 28'' 16:9 Sony which was the one I had in my living room for everyday use.
One day, when I find the room for it, I'll drag home a massive 4:3 Sony CRT my in-laws have stored away. All of mine are flatscreen but this one has a beautiful curved screen for playing retro consoles as they were intended to be played.
