    A poor christmas for me.

There is so little to look forward to this christmas i think i could cry.

I was looking forward to Project Gotham 2 on the Xbox, but after playing the demo, i think i'll skip it.

I'd love to play Rainbow Six 3, but it's not "economically viable" to provide my house with broadband according to all the cable companies.

I was looking forward to XIII but the reviews seem that they are trying to hype a thoroughly average game because it is slightly different.

SSX3 seems less fun than it's predecessors (demo play, xbox), and that was the reason i enjoyed the previous iterations.

I think that leaves Mario Kart and Deus Ex II. I'm looking forward to harvest moon in January and ANY news at all on the next animal crossing game.

    I'm getting old...........

I'd spend a couple of days off the gaming m8 and come back later.

A couple of games over Xmas is fine for me, after all there will be much drinking/drugging/eating/watching TV/socialising and sleeping on the couch after too much lunch.

Now that's what Christmas is all about.

Hmm, it sounds like you're making quite a few assumptions here and feeling bad off the base of them.

Rainbow Six 3 is not only an online game, but in the style with which you're dismissing it you must place a great importance on online play. Personally I think I'll be picking up RS3 and I don't have Live either, but from what others have said about the demo it seems like the single-player will be thoroughly enjoyable despite that.

Project Gotham 2 is little more than a demo atm, so judging the entire game on that behalf seems a bit churlish ( yes, I know demos are supposed to showcase a fair representation of the final product, but at least wait until the finished build garners some more reliable impressions and/or reviews ).

I find it difficult to believe that your enthusiasm for XIII has totally dissapeared after a few unfavourable reviews. If you were excited about it before then there was a reason for that, and the discrepancies between review scores ( check out PeteJ's PN03 score compared to sites such as IGN and Gamespot ) show that not everyone sees eye to eye. At least try to get some playing time in on this when it's released before writing it off totally.

Btw, leaving 'just' Mario Kart and Deus Ex II doesn't exactly sound like scraping the barrel, those two titles alone would be more than enough for most folk. Something reassuring for you to bear in mind, if everything I have just said is bull****.

Did they actually say that? Or were you watching 'Falling Down' on sunday night too?

Like Gari said, MKD ALONE should be enough to keep anyone occupied for a good few months. Why you'd even want to play another game is beyond me.

If I don't finish these two jobs I'm working on I won't be buying anything before christmas, consider yourself lucky. (on the other hand, if I do I'm re-buying my AES collection)

When it comes to games, I got old ages ago. I find I save more money, and I'm a better player for it too.

Nope he's right the game is generally crap. Though the hype was fun while it lasted!

See i thought you had no money to buy all the top games comming out !

Mario Kart, like the others said, is surely enough on its own. Im looking forward to PGR2 for online play, SSX3 and a whole host of others.

However it looks like im gonna have to pay back a shed load of money to the government (bah)

Still we always find money for games dont we lads

True, and there will always be 9 dollar games at Lik-Sang and bargain bins downtown.
