Score for Layton sounds about right, it needs to suffer for erroneously "forgetting" to include a game called LONDON life in the UK version.

    Le sigh.

They didn't forget they just couldn't be arsed. Sure there wasn't enough room for a 7 euro language translation of it but seeing as it exists in english already they could have easily put it in the uk version.

Thats why i'll never buy uk domestic nintendo ever.

Only a 3 for Jurassic Park?

Is that one of the lowest scores for this gen?

Is that London Life in the US version? It's just a normal region-free DS title, right?

Its basically an interactive movie with very little actual interaction and an uninteresting story. It's also technically a mess, and was clearly rushed out becuase it doesn't feel finished at all. It's also about an hour long.

                A 3 is being generous.

Excellent. It will be my first import in quite some time.

The gamegadget looks really interesting, if it has a nice screen + res then i will be in for it.

Ooh, missed this topic. I wrote the Metal Gear history feature this month - unfortunately my subscription copy is no doubt only going to arrive in January, since I live in France and it's the Christmas rush right now.

Can anyone hook me up with scans/photos PM'd to my inbox? I do enjoy re-reading my own work.

For the record: I only wrote the history feature (should be 13 pages), with interviews from past developers, I wasn't involved with the modern Rising preview.

The developers thought it was good - they even gave it a 10/10 in a couple of self-reviews on metacritic.

It was 13 pages about how the game was broken because although you could stuff unconscious soldiers into lockers, there weren't any locker tokens.
You spent 14 hours trying to find locker tokens.

Only kidding! Did any of the people you spoke to tell you to "F*** OFF" like in that Akira feature for Hardcore Gaming 101?
That really had me chuckling, mate!

Thanks. Hmm, nothing quite the same, but the language barrier provided it's own hair-raising moments at times, resulting in some desperate late night faxes being sent. A behind the scenes documentary would probably blow your minds on the highs and lows of writing that feature (crazy stuff you wouldn't believe). I think there's at least 12 interviewees in it.
