I don't recall being moved to tears before, though my partner was whilst I was playing Ico. I have felt pretty emotional during certain sections of play in games, such as Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, MGS4 and Heavy Rain in particular.

Some games have had me feeling completely absorbed into their events like MGS1, MGS3, Panzer Saga etc but I've never cried at one. I am a machine!

I cried with fear when I was about 7 when the massive bloody skull randomly appeared on screen in Friday the 13th for C64.

I was slightly pissed off when Raiden lost his second arm and proceeded to fight the FROGs with his katana in his teeth. Only because of how dumb it was though.
        Kept you waiting, huh?

          For me:

          Metal Gear Solid 3 (ending)
          Final Fantasy VII (Aeris dying)
          Final Fantasy X (ending)

The whole Aerith thing was pretty sad but ruined by the dialogue, it was awful!

                Deadly Premonition (ending)
Ocarina of time (ending) <-- very haunting if you think about it.

Growing up suddenly, saving the world, then going back to being a child again - losing Navi....and that lost woods music playing as everyone celebrates

Perfect ending, but not as happy as it first seems. I guess what got me most was the fact that it ENDED! Still the best Zelda for me

Games which I've found pretty emotional:

FFVII - Aerith/Aeris/Bitchface (as I had her named on one occasion) dying. Didn't care much for the character, but the first playthrough and that scene happening completely out of the blue, the entire game falling silent and then brilliant, brilliant music kicking in, watching her materia orb tinkle down those stones. Then having a Jenova boss fight on your hands with that same music still playing. That wasn't easy

Dragon Quest 8 - I'll spoiler this one as I doubt everyone and their grandparents know about the plot

Basically, some right evil bastard sealed away in a staff takes possession of a variety of people/creatures and goes around the world killing off descendants of the heroes who imprisoned it, in an attempt to free itself. Said evil bastard succeeds and a number of the deaths are particularly emotional, Jessica's brother Alistair moving me to a tear or two

                  Xenoblade Chronicles -

One of the playable characters from the game's starting sections is killed off early, only to return later in the game as a mech(on). I saw it coming a mile off, as I'm sure most did but her reunion with the main character and then her brother were both touching moments

Crisis Core (ending of) - If you've played 7 then chances are you knew of Zack's fate beforehand, but CC obviously went into a lot more detail with it.

I hated Aeris and was actually pleased at her death. One less c**t to level up. The character was **** in all aspects, and never really sat well with my overpowering, mindless, one-shot melee style of play.

I actually felt more sorry for Cait Sith, eventhough he was instantly replaced by another model.

In Deadly Premonition when Agent York

's hair goes white and he stops being Agent York

...I felt *really* sad, so sad for him, it proper gutted me.

It's been a good 8/9 years since I clocked it but Klonoa: Door To Phantomile on PS1 made me well up big time, something about the ending really coddled my cry-pipe. Remember feeling like a right proper pansy but didn't care, them tears had to leave them ducts...
