Got my sub copy in today. Really looking forward to the Dizzy behind the scenes! James Mielke's Japan column continues to be excellent as well.

Same fairly lowish score for RE 3DS as Edge. Not a good sign. Anyone know what they said about it?

Im hoping it's just because it's short and not the story or anything

          Briefly...

The episodic structure sucks, and leads to a shallow experience. The plot recaps are tedious and patronising, and "ultimately unnecessary given the dearth of interesting narrative."

The different groups of characters you play as shatters the immersion of the main quest. The repetition of enemies is tiring and the boss battles uninspired.

It really seems like Capcom can't put out the quality anymore after the exodus of talented staff. My expectations for RE6 aren't that high.

Yeah, I was looking forward to Resident Evil on the 3DS, it seems to be getting average/poor reviews though. I think after Mercenaries they needed a good one.

Thanks Prinny. Shame. I'll get it anyway for lack of much like it on 3DS but I was really hoping it would turn out to be a good one.

I was also hoping the low-ish Edge score was just a one-off. Reckon I might pick it up, have a quick go and trade in so I'll end up with a cheap circle pad attachment.

I'll still get it day one kinda what I got the system for so will be disappointed if its crap still enjoying enjoying it enough to stop me buying more vita imports (for now) hopefully dead space 3 will be out this year so we get at least one good survival horror game

Re:Revelations wouldn't be the first great game that Games Tm and Edge have both only given a 6 would it?

Dont really trust either magazines scores anymore to be honest.

I'd be surprised if it's outright bad as an entry as the trailers have all looked decent enough and the demo was good. Plus, they scored Boom Street higher.

Resident Evil Revelations is actually getting a few 9s.

Bit harsh for Ace Combat. Yes it's anaemic on features, but it's better than the rancid home console version.

This the same demo that was featured on mercs? The one that felt like it ended after like half a minute or so?
