Secondhand units are everywhere in Tokyo, seems like all the people who purchased them just sold them straight back. Cheapest I saw was 12,000 which is about 90 pounds at the current rate. Slightly tempted with this update but heard shocking things about the emu and not being able to change regions is just ridiculous when any old emulator can do it.
Also, just checked out that funstock link. Fifty quid for the stick, lmao!!!

Game card pre-orders up at funstock ?19.99 for each volume (five volumes announced so far) three games on each volume. US Pre-orders have been up for a week or so if you fancy importing..
Volume one, at least, also contains a firmware upgrade which, fingers crossed, should sort out various NGX issues.Last edited by SuperDanX; 20-03-2013, 20:00.

I was watching ASHENS YouTube review of this console and he basically said it was a load of crap an to be honest it looked like a load of crap too. Is there anyone here who is NOT a Neo Geo fan boy and has bought one to give an honest opinion on the unit. I mean, it can't even play Neo Geo roms perfectly. The PSP does a better job.

It is slightly strange. The emulation is worse than what is found on comparable handheld devices incl. the PSP, the hardware is completely unrelated to the NeoGeo, and the device has been manufactured by a company that is completely unrelated to SNK or Playmore aside from the licence. Bizarre.
But credit to Tommo for living up to their word and supporting the thing woth games, even if the appeal continues to be a mystery to me.

I bought one, and I am not a Neo-Geo fan boy. I bought what because of what it is, and it wasn't that expensive here in Tokyo. I bought one because the kid inside me said "do it".
I might sell it on, but it's much nicer to play Metal Slug on than my PSP. Same for all the games, actually. The stick is wonderful.
I could try to give a more detailed honest opinion, but overall, I like the thing.

Im not a Neo Geo fanboy, but i honestly dont regret buying it , although i think it was a tad overpriced, games this old will always look at bit funny over HDMI on a massive TV, thats a fact, but the games look ok, and theres some slowdown but nothing major for me, i still think its worth buying if you want to play Neo Geo games.

Until i saw this vid i was really interested in this, the dock looks like a cheap pile of crap, the handheld unit is basically no better than one of them Chinese Mame handhelds things flooding ebay, but the two biggest problems this has is the screen is the wrong size and the emulation is off.
