    Did the tiny towers guys make any money? I'm sure my daughter's been playing it for hours since before xmas and I'm positive she's never paid for anything.

      They made tons, as far as I know. It was definitely hovering around the top grossing list for a while. For everyone that played to the end without paying like I did, I imagine there were people that made a few IAPs. And these things attract mental people, there'll be some people that probably ploughed hundreds of pounds into it. With six million users, you don't need THAT many, percentage-wise, to be paying, and you'll still rake it in.

      Plus I did an IAP at the end, basically as a thankyou, which I imagine they'll have had a bunch of.

        IAP = In App Purchase?

        Makes sense. My daughter's 10. She has more time than money. Well, good for them. Hopefully everyone's done with towers that are tiny and Zynga's game will fall on its arse, maybe get them to change their ways and maybe even allow their employees some job satisfaction by encouraging innovation. Oh, who am I kidding!?

          Two different devs are now taking them to court. One for the tower thing and another for Bingo.

              As far as I know it's not illegal to copy game ideas. It's frustrating when this makes enormously wealthy devs like Zynga act lazily and greedily, but it's a good thing. If Nintendo had copyrighted the adventure game with Zelda where would we be.

                You'll struggle with this in a US court.

                International Karate vs Karate Champ

                Although that ruling has been criticised in subsequent years quite a bit.
