The Wii games are cool, Nintendo really squeezed loads of beauty through design and not just raw power.
Imagine what Nintendo will pull off doing the same on the Wii-U.

The thing that I love so much with Dolphin is the save states. I'm sorry that my skills aren't good enough for Zelda/Mario bosses, but for me I'd rather start the milisecond before the boss fight/tricky section instead of the whole level.

HD visuals + Save States = Family friendly Mario Galaxy that I can stop exactly when I need too.

I also must say that Mario at 1440p is so stunning that it would be hard for a YouTube to do it justice. If you are luck and have a Wii compatible DVD player and fast CPU this is to quote EB: End of gen slickness!
A HD remake depending on how it is done could be justified but a HD scaling/re-rendering of a cartoony graphical style is a bit to me like electrical showrooms using Pixar Blurays to show-off 1080p.
The save states thing I can see though. Worked well on SNES emus in the past.

I'm quite happy with the Wii visuals as they suit the games. I love the simplistic styling of Kirby's epic yarn. Super Paper Mario etc and even Zelda SS works well as the games are just so good.

        Thread resurrection!

Another AC game and that looked even better than the one last year.
Tomb Raider and Dead space 3 look so good you can't even really imagine games looking significantly better,
