I spoke to someone yesterday that said 3:10 is the "fast for age" cut off for my ageThat's only 5 mins faster than my target. I'm wondering if I should go for it. It means I wouldn't have to do the ballot if I tried again next year - I just automatically get a ticket. I would also start in a different place away from the 36000 masses. Only 2000 in the fast for age!

Wha! And thanks to cornflakes (the forumite, not the cereal) for the donation
If you are still thinking about sponsoring me people, NOW is the time. Click the link! We have reached ?1000 (including gift aid) now, plus the ?300 or so for Macmillan and Stammering. Amazing. Couldn't have got near that without you guys.Last edited by charlesr; 20-04-2012, 13:15.

sorry chaps. No idea why but I got cramp in both thighs after 12miles. Up to then i was feeling good for my goal time. Hobbled home in an ultra-gutting 4:12 Never been in constant pain for 2 hours like that before. Cheers to all who donated. I'll now open up the charity user option to people donating to any of the 3 charities.

I guess just pick yourself up and go for broke on the next one.
I seem to remember your training times were crazy fast, what was your target?
EDIT: On the last page 3:15. Ah...Last edited by cavalcade; 22-04-2012, 19:50.
