Downloaded the beta last night seems quite good, decent framerate, lots of different vehicles and weapon choice seems good but I've only had 15 mins or so on it so I'll try it again later but so far quite positive

Started a game and played about for a bit on my own, No one joined jumped back out to see if I could find any games or a lobby of some sort no luck either, played on my own for a bit and turned it off

I choose the solo play just wanted to see the game engine and mechanics running probably early days for multiplayer I hope

Tried this out last night and I'm both nicely surprised and unsure at the same time. Though a completely different game than the other LBP's I think this will be my fave mainly because it's more cohesive. LBP drowns itself so heavily in the editor functions and user made levels that it's a bit of a mess. Plus, I hate the gameplay mechanics, getting the core platform physics wrong meaning I can't enjoy it for long from the get go. This is not perfect and the tracks available come across as basic but the physics and controls are quite solid and a marked improvement on what United Front did with Modnation. There needs to be a limit on the usermade tracks, I know that seems silly when it's the selling point of the franchise but it risks spreading the userbase so thinly that it gets in the way of getting a decent game. There's definite potential though and it's gone from Miss to Maybe on my watch list.
