The Top 50 Endings Ever

I can't remember many game endings, but this gen I enjoyed Limbo's, Prince of Persia's and Castlevania: Lord of Shadow's, simply because they were unexpected and not necessarily 'happy'.

The only game I can think of this gen is Lost Odyssey.

Good game endings are very rare. Often I won't see a game through to the end unless I'm really enjoying it - but if that's the case the ending has too much to live up to so often disappoints. Off the top of my head I can think of a few endings that have stuck with me -

Super Metroid
Ico
Shadow of the Colossus
Yoshi's Island
Ocarina of Time
Halo Reach (mostly due to the way it links to Combat Evolved)
Metal Gear Solid 3
Alan Wake (well I liked it!)
