Have you played F1 2010 recently? Perhaps to remind you how bad the penalty system on the multiplayer is for instance?

My main complaint however is that I use a steering wheel. And the game is dog turn at handling with a wheel. The game has nowhere near as much polish as the first game and in my opinion they've been getting progressively worse.

Oh and practically every complaint on the official forum is true.

2012 was better for playing on a controller, but not much else. The weather system was ****e! They need to put it back to 2011 standards.

I've not played F1 2010 since I brought it as when 2011 & 2012 were released, I sold the previous game to jump on the new one.

The games have got better through each iteration in my eyes, bugs have been fixed, graphics improved, single & multiplayer expanded & the polish was easy to see. I brought a GT Pro with Wheel Stand Pro for Gran Turismo 5 & used that set up with F1 2010 & thought the implementation was beautiful but not as nuanced as GT5.

I've found the Codemasters F1 games to be the best ever recreation of my favourite sport so I in no way feel wronged or cheated by the yearly releases. They feel noticeably improved, refined and polished so I do enjoy supporting and playing the games. Can't wait for 2013 actually!

Wools, the weather was rubbish though right? I mean when it started raining there was hardly any visual feedback at all. And we it was pouring down and stopped there was no drying line at all.

The weather in 2012 did feel different. The sky & change of weather was better, but the visual effect of the rain did not seem as dramatic.

Must admit, I don't remember the dry line acting any differently. Was it difficult to see where the line was?

I bought 2010 and enjoyed it. Bought 2011 the following year which, though an improvement, was way too similar - even down to the terrible bugs, so didn't bother with 2012 and won't bother with 2013 either. ?40 for a game I've effectively bought twice just for updated drivers, teams, the odd new track and a few graphical/mechanical tweaks? No ta.
