None, to be honest. I've followed quite a few of these Kickstarter projects (mainly the ones for CRPGs and adventure games) and I'm glad to see most of them being successfully funded, but I haven't pledged to a single one. I understand Kickstarter is more than a long-term pre-order scheme but I'd require a physical reward (i.e., a boxed edition of the game) in exchange for my money, and those cost in the vicinity of $100 after shipping on most of the projects I was interested in. I'll make sure to support them when they're released and the cost of such physical editions is more reasonable.

Although not strictly a Kickstarter project, I did pre-order The Age of Decadence for $25 and I'll pay the extra $25 for the boxed release nearer its completion date.

I've backed 11 Kickstarter and 3 Indiegogo projects, which, given I was originally a sceptic, surprises me a fair bit. I know there's a few others I'm interested in too.

None. I hate waiting a week for delivery, let alone 2 years. Also to quite honest, I'm not sure that all of these projects will see the light of day. I'm not in the business of donating ?30 or more for a game which may well turn out to be sh*t or non-existent.

I don't think you'll see most (if any) of the Kickstarter games as physical products. It's just not worth it financially. The physical boxes cost a lot because they have to print small quantities of them.

None of the games I've seen have asked for ?30, most have been 10/15 US dollars (?6/9) for the game.

All projects might not be completed, it's a gamble, but then again I also play the lottery so I really don't mind.

$28 short. It didn't get funded.

That's a bit silly, did they have PayPal as a funding option too? Kickstarter should have a buffer, of say $100, where it's still classed as funded if it's that close.

LOL, so no one was willing to take one for the team and donate $28 extra?

Edit: And five people pledged $1,500...

I didn't even think about that. I would have assumed that the team would be watching the clock count down, praying to meet the goal and, yes, making up the small difference themselves. I guess they weren't that bothered. Surely a bullet dodged for the backers, if the team was that disinterested in their own project?

Yes, that does seem weird. Unless they got trolled and someone pulled out their fake contribution at the last minute...

                          Bit of a strange one - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...joust?ref=live

They've produced prototypes for the PS3 and if they raise $150.000 then Sony will publish it, publicise it, etc.

Thisis getting a lot of positive press at the moment.

I very much doubt Elite or any of the other UK based kickstarter projects will get funded, it seems our American cousins have an aversion to pledging in anything other than their native currency.

So far there are three main UK KS videogames projects that I know about, Elite, Godus (Populous) and Dizzy Returns, none of which look like they are going to get the backng they need. And yet Carmegeddon which was based on the US KS site got funding no problem ...

Ah well you live and learn I guess ...

Maia was in pounds and got funded, although I didn't think it would early on. Take a look at this graph:
Maia is a new god game from indie developer Simon Roth.

There was some forum chat (I think on Rock Paper Shotgun) part-way through Maia, where some Americans said they would back only if it were in USD. This wasn't necessarily a currency issue, but because Kickstarter handles payments directly instead of via Amazon (they said). The guys behind Strike Suit Zero (ex-Kuju, based in Guildford) probably made a good call to go for USD, even though their project ran around the same time that GBP was introduced.
