Vita homebrew efforts shnaffled by Sony - games removed from PSN

Dear Sony, it has come to my attention that one of the PSP games available on the playstation Vita has a vulnerability that could lead to the execution of external code by some malicious...

Guessing it's temporary removal until they patch them?

This was actually brought up in the Vita thread a couple of weeks back when Motorstorm: AE was first pulled.

Technically I never paid for my digital download of the game (it was one of the 10 "free" games I got for purchasing a PSP Go) so I've not lost out monetarily but it is a worry that they also removed it from my download list completely so I can't even redownload them on any device. In fact, it's particularly ridiculous in the case of the PSP Go promotion downloads anyway as the way they were setup meant they were only downloadable on my PSP anyway. Wouldn't allow me to download it to my Vita at all when it was there.

Fingers crossed the games will come back once the exploit has been patched but well, Sony...

Welcome to the future of gaming where they can just take the games off you.

And yet some people welcome our new digital overlords. Seriously, screw this. Drm free or I don't buy it from now on. I'm gonna miss out on a lot of stuff *visits gog.com*

I can imagine a non-existant episode of The Twilight Zone where retailers send burglars into your house when you're out to take back stuff they sold you.
