They've released quite a few games as a publisher over the last few years which havent fared well. Im guessing they'll take the brunt

As long as they focus more in Shenmue and Football Manager I'll be happy.

As long as Yakuza 5 isn't affected, I'm happy.

So they are going the digital route, which means those classic games should be safe:

Due to the challenging economic climate and significant changes within the interactive gaming industry, SEGA has made the decision to consolidate its publishing business in order to focus on developing digital content and driving its existing IP such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Total War, Football Manager and the Aliens franchise. This realignment of the business around existing and digital IP is a necessity to ensure that SEGA continues to invest and enhance its digital business offering, whilst reducing its reliance on traditional packaged goods.

This means Yakuza should be safe also, at least in Japan. But I think the series found its audience in the west and Sega doesn't need to do anything else than translate the subtitles.

As much as I love Sega games,

You have to wonder WTF is going on internally at Sega. They should work on a Saturn Collection for XBLA.

Also, who is in chargeof Sega marketing and promotion? these people are not doing too well. BD is a great game that nobody knows about.
