Disgaea: Hour of Darkness

Hi all,

I have been mulling over getting this game for a while now, and the review in the latest Edge is very close to convincing me. I am close to completing Xenosaga and am on the look-out for another RPG or similar. I loved Vandal Hearts and FF Tactics, so thought this game might be worth a stab. The only thing holding me back really is the price. Cheapest I have found is ?40 on e-Bay as DVDBO don't seem to have it and Goblin is too pricey.

Does anyone have this and can reccomend it to me? Other RPG options are welcome, I have a US/JAP/NTSC PS2 and a US/JAP GC.

I paid ?49.99 for it, and have since seen it only go UP in price. Atlus US releases are notorious for only having short print runs.

As for the game itself, I must confess to not having played it yet. Its one I'm saving for next spring's game drought

Other RPGs? Skies of Arcadia for the GC should be on your list...

I have Skies for my DC. I assume there is not much different in the GC version.

I am starting to think I should take that eBay one then!

DVDBO do have it...search in PS2 games and then its under 'D' at 69/95 CD its just over 30 squid. They take an age to ship it tho'

Its about ?33 with shipping but I've got a few things from him before and he's very reliable and marks things down for duty

Shame you didn't realise earlier...I ended up with 2 copies (bloodu slow DVDBO) and just sold one on the forum for ?30.

Its a great great game....go get it now!

Oh and other RPG's? Suikoden 3 obviously and Arc the Lad on PS2 is also very good if you like SRPGs

I'd recommend (in addition to Suikoden III and Arc the Lad 4) Wild Arms 3, Dark Cloud 2 and Xenosaga.

Did the copy you got from DVDBO have bilingual (French/English) cover/manual, or is it the same as the US version?

I decided to go for it and managed to get a 2nd hand one for ?28 of e-Bay. As long as it's good condition I will be a happy man!

I am dead excited about this now, just need to make sure I finish Xenosaga over the weekend so I can devote the proper time to it
